Just what can one find at the Philips stand at this year’s EquipHotel?
We put the question to Franck Dufrene – Sales Director – Philips
Professional Display Solutions…
The timing of the show is perfect, as we
will be revealing, for the first time, our
entire new hospitality TV range at our very
convivial 64 square metre booth, in Hall
7.1 (T55). Along with this, we’re focussing
on what we can bring to the market in
terms of meaningful innovations.
We are also a partner in EquipHotel’s
Studio 16 project, which is also right
next to our own stand. It’s the first time
such an interesting hotel reproduction
has been done at the show, completely
reinventing the lobby, guest room,
meeting room and bar. As market leaders,
we felt it was important to participate in
this extraordinary project, looking at the
guest experience of the future, and how
technology can help.
At our stand, we will display for the
first time together at EquipHotel, the
two professional display ranges: digital
signage and hospitality TV. There are
evident synergies between the two
activities, not only in terms of software
and hardware, but also in distribution.
Signage is quickly growing as a “must
have” in the hospitality vertical.
Other Philips products are also on show
at the stand, such as coffee machines,
kettles, hair dryers, and even defibrillators,
just to name a few. They’re all products
in high demand in the hospitality sector,
and hoteliers like the “one stop shop”
approach.
What are the “star” products?
In terms of hospitality TV, our four new
ranges – Studio, EasySuite, MediaSuite
and Signature are all there. In signage, we
are featuring video walls, Ultra HD giant
screens (98-inch, 84-inch and 75-inch
large) in portrait and landscape mode.
And a very interesting new product is our
10-inch touch screen Android display.
All products are presented in “real life”
use cases. We are highlighting Android
and CMND technologies. We have a
real life CMND demo station where our
customers can control screens and
create content to send to the screens
on the booth. The useful and intuitive
Android user interface is easy to use for
our partners but also creates a great
guest experience. It also provides a pool
of android apps that can be used by our
partners and gives the possibility for our
partners to integrate their apps. Some of
our key partners will demonstrate their
own embedded professional Android
applications at the booth.
Finally, for our high-end range we have
an experience room created on the booth
with the ‘wow effect’ of our ambilight
technology.
